Abstract

1445830 Lamp reflectors LUCAS ELECTRICAL Ltd 17 Jan 1974 [1 Dec 1972] 55522/72 Heading F4R A lamp reflector comprises a dished body formed of a low profile polyester moulding composition, a reflective film on an internal surface of the body, and a protective layer of lacquer overlying the reflective film. The body is preferably moulded from a mix having the following composition by weight: 25-35% of "Paraplex" (Registered Trade Mark); P-19a Premix (a polyester resin); 45-55% of calcium carbonate filler; 20% of “ inch glass fibres; 1% of Zelec U.N. (internal mould release agent); 1% of t-butyl perbenzoate or t-butyl peroctoate the mix being cured at a temperature between 270‹ and 330‹ F. The body is then coated internally with a reflective film of aluminium by vacuum deposition and the aluminium is covered with a protective acrylic resin lacquer.
