Abstract

1445007 Making sheet material HERMANN BERSTORFF MASCHINENBAU GmbH and B GRETEN [trading as BISONWERKE BAHRE & GRETEN GmbH & CO KG] 4 Oct 1973 [6 Oct 1972] 46502/73 Heading B5A Material 9 for the production of chipboard or like sheet material is compressed between an endless steel band 1 and a heated drum 7 and the sheet 9<SP>1</SP> is removed from the belt at a guide roller 2. Laterally spaced temperature controllable heating or cooling elements 16-21 are located across various lengths of the belt on one or both sides thereof to control the belt expansion across its width to produce a sheet of uniform thickness. The drum 7 contains axially spaced annular temperature controllable heating elements, and the rollers 4-6 may include similar elements.
