Abstract

1444355 Tattooing pens J L LUND 18 Oct 1973 [18 Oct 1972] 48025/72 Heading B6P A tattooing pen has a reciprocatable slide 6 carrying a comb or cluster of steel needles 8 extending parallel to the direction of the slide's reciprocation, the needles being of different lengths to provide different extents of penetration into the skin of an animal. The slide may be driven by an electric jig saw drive unit being connected to it by rod 7. The degree to which the needles 8 project beyond the housing 4 is determined by the position in which telescoping housing parts 1, 4 are held by bolt 5. Tattooing pigment may be supplied via conduit 12 from an oil can (not shown) carried by guard 11.
