Abstract

1444252 Fork-lift accessory P J COLLIER M J COGHLAN and J LENNIE 13 May 1974 [21 May 1973] 24115/73 Heading B8H Drums are lifted and tipped when required by an accessary attached to a fork of a fork-lift device. The drums are provided with pivots which cooperate with pivot bearings on a frame structure into which the fork is inserted, while supporting means prevent tipping and, when moved to a different position, assist tipping. In the figure, drum 18 is provided with a strap 17 bearing pivots 16 which cooperate with pivot bearings 15. The drum is further supported and prevented from tipping by bracket 24 and spring member 21. Movement of lever 30 causes retraction of bracket 24 and rotation of spring member 21 in an anticlockwise direction about pin 22, thus giving the device a tilting movement.
