Abstract

Many ingredients of cosmetic products are easily decomposed by oxidation or microbes on storage. The addition of preservatives, for example fungicides, antioxidants and the like, is disadvantageous because these materials may have a certain toxicity and may lead to irritation. A deep-frozen cosmetic product which may also, where appropriate, be formulated without preservatives is described herein. The deep-frozen cosmetic product according to the invention has biologically active cosmetic properties and contains a carrier material which is a synthetic substance which does not occur in nature, and furthermore an active ingredient which is an untreated cosmetically active ingredient which occurs in nature. It is particularly advantageous for the cosmetic product according to the invention to be in the form of single doses which are just sufficient for a single cosmetic treatment. Furthermore, a process for the production of the cosmetic products is also described.
