Abstract

1444005 Valves ERDOLCHEMIE GmbH 16 Aug 1973 [18 Aug 1972] 38724/73 Heading F2V A method of reducing noise level in a liquid valve comprises introducing gas in front of, behind, or inside the valve. The gas may be compressed air, as shown, or atmospheric air sucked in by a low-pressure region in the valve (Fig. 2, not shown). In such a case a shut-off valve (3) prevents flow of liquid to the atmosphere if the region goes super-atmospheric.
