Abstract
1442713 Intermittent film feed BOLEX INTERNATIONAL SA 4 Jan 1974 [4 Jan 1973] 00449/74 Heading G2E An intermittent film feed comprises a claw member 1, movable between two positions shown in full and broken lines for forward and reverse feed respectively; the claw is moved lengthwise with respect to the film gate by an eccentric 7 which is driven in the same direction irrespective of the direction of feed of the film. The claw arm 1 is pivotally connected to a link 6 connected to the eccentric 7, and to an arm 4 fixedly mounted on a shaft 5. The arm 4 is moved between two limiting positions by reversing the poles of an electromagnet 12 which co-operates with a permanent magnet 11 mounted on shaft 5. The claw arm 1 is thus moved so that either claw 2 (reverse or claw 3 forward) come into contact with the film perforations. The in and out claw movement is provided by an electromagnet 8 co-operating with arm 4. A bladed shutter obscures the film gate four times, at the same time as the eccentric rotates three times to cause one frame advance. The electromagnet 8 is controlled by the rotating shutter, e.g. by a magnet mounted on a shutter blade co-operating with a reed switch.
