Abstract
1442236 Automatic control SIEMENS AG 25 Sept 1974 [5 Oct 1973] 41802/74 Heading G3N A desired operating programme is selected by apparatus comprising two switching devices, the first being set to select a group of programmes, and the second being set to select the desired programme from within the group. An indicator is coupled to the first switching device so as to show which programmes form the group from which the desired programme is selected by the second switching device. As shown, an arrangement for use with an x-ray diagnostic system includes a rotary selector 23 which is turned until a desired body region 16-22 is illuminated on a display panel. The selector simultaneously turns on a roller or projection arrangement causing specific parts of the illuminated region to be indicated at displays 8-14. A corresponding push-button or proximity switch 1-7 is actuated to select the required body part and thereby provide a signal to a programme control device which controls x-ray equipment accordingly. The control device also illuminates appropriate ones of a series of indicators representing orientation 24-26, screen conditions 27-29, focusing 30-31, automatic setting 39, manual setting 40 and exposure 41 corresponding to the operating programme selected by switches 23 and 1-7.
