Abstract
PURPOSE: To attain rapid and easy channel selection by providing a channel selector of a TV receiver with a motor and its control part, a mechanism which sets the existence of a skip and a method of supplying various control signals.
CONSTITUTION: Motor 2 is provided which achieves channel selection switching of channel selector 3, and the rotating direction of this motor and a skip over a channel position are controlled by motor control part 1. Control part 1 controls the motor so that the rotation of unit 3 will stop at the normal position of each channels. Then, skip setting mechanisms 4 are provided at positions corresponding to respective channels and at the time of switching of the channel selector, an existence of a skip at each corresponding position is detected; when the skip is required, a channel skip signal and switching direction display signal are outputted to control skip switch 6 and various control signals are supplied to control part 1 to control the rotating direction and skip operation of the motor. Consequently, channel selection is achieved rapidly.
