Abstract

1441804 Clutch control FRANCAISE DU FERODO SA 25 July 1973 [2 Aug 1972] 35491/73 Addition to 1126058 Heading F2L In a clutch release thrust bearing wherein a ball bearing 16 is radially movable relative to a flange 11 of a support 10 which slides on a guide tube S, the outer race 15 of the bearing is resiliently pressed against the flange 11 by a circumferentially spaced series of spring clips 19. The spring clips 19 pass through axial slots 23 in the flange 11 and are thus retained in predetermined circumferential positions. In Figs. 4-16 (not shown) the spring clips are made from spring wire. A friction washer (24) may be provided between the outer race 15 and flange 11.
