Abstract

1441575 Degassing liquids and liquid circuits AGFA-GEVAERT 21 Aug 1973 [31 Aug 1972] 40476/72 Heading B1M A method for degassing a circuit for the transport of liquids e.g. photographic suspension, comprises (a) establishing a reduced gaseous pressure in the circuit for rarefying air or other gases present therein, (b) producing a saturated vapour e.g. steam at a pressure which is higher than said reduced gaseous pressure under (a) but lower than the atmospheric pressure, and maintaining a current of said vapour through said circuit for expelling said rarefied air or other gases from said circuit, and (d) thereafter pumping a degassed liquid through the circuit for expelling vapour therefrom.
