1441252 Di-nitro-tetra-oxo-pyrene BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 10 July 1973 [20 June 1972] 28708/72 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] Novel 2,7-dinitro-1,2,3,6,7,8-hexahydro-1,3,6,8 pyrenetetrone and salts thereof are prepared by reacting naphthalene-1,4,5,8-tetra carboxylic acid dianhydride with diethyl malonate and zinc chloride and nitrating the 1,2,3,6,7,8-hexahydro-1,3,6,8-tetra-oxo-pyrene formed. Compound I inhibits anti en-antibody reactions.
