1440157 Variable capacitors SUWA SEIKOSHAKK 27 Aug 1974 [28 Aug 1973] 37427/74 Heading H1M A variable capacitor suitable for use with a quartz crystal controlled wrist-watch includes a rotor 8 comprising a portion 9b selected for its dielectric properties since it provides the capacitor dielectric and a portion 9a imparting mechanical strength but whose dielectric properties are less important since it lies outside the electric field. Portion 9b may accordingly be very thin. Rotor electrode 12 is electrically connected by solder 15 to spindle 11 and thence to lead 14.
