Abstract
1438329 Stopping of apparatus at definite positions INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP 3 Aug 1973 [4 Aug 1972] 36930/73 Heading F2E [Also in Division H1] In a rotary switch a projecting pin 5b, Fig. 3, on the rotor 8 keyed to the shaft 6 engages stop members 5a inserted in selected ones of a number of radial slits 3 in the casing 1 to provide a predetermined range of movement. The pin 5b may slide in an annular groove 2 which intersects the slits 3. The stop members 5a may be held in by gluing, soldering or wedging or may be less deep than the slits 3 and held in position by a tight fitting backing piece (5c) (Fig. 5, not shown) of plastics material. The switch may have a detent stop arrangement comprising resilient elements 71, Fig. 3, on the outer wall of the rotor engageable with notches (7b) on the inside of the casing wall.
