1438179 Biocidal application of 3-aminobenzo-1, 2, 4-triazine-1, 4-di-N-oxide derivatives BAYER AG 15 Nov 1973 [15 Nov 1972] 53044/73 Heading A5E A microbicide comprises 3-aminobenzo-1, 2, 4-triazine-1, 4-di-N-oxide derivatives having the general formula: wherein X<1> and X<2> are hydrogen or halogen atoms or optionally substituted alkyl or alkoxy radicals or haloalkyl radicals and A is either (i) a radical R which is an optionally substituted alkyl, alkenyl or aralkyl radical; (ii) a group COR<1> wherein R<1> is hydrogen or an optionally substituted alkyl or aryl radical; (iii) the group -COCH2COCH3 or (iv) the group CONHR<2> wherein R<2> is an optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl or aryl radical. Examples describe the use of the microbicide for disinfecting water, microbicidal finishing of a textile and controlling the growth of microorganisms in a paint or dispersion dye.
