1437479 Humidifying devices for space heaters E GREASLEY 18 June 1974 [4 June 1973] 26587/73 Headings F4S and F4W A humidifying device for use in conjunction with a radiator or a gas fire, consists of an elongate water container with holes (e.g. 18, Fig. 1 or 35, Fig. 4) above the water level therein to permit the escape to atmosphere of water vapour, said container having a first surface 8, Fig. 1 or 33, Fig. 4, and a second surface 10, Fig. 1 or 34, Fig. 4, extending at an angle of less than 90 degrees to the first surface. In use, the container is mounted above the radiator or gas fire with the first surface substantially horizontal serving as a shelf, and with the second surface projecting outwardly and downwardly to form a deflector for the rising air. As shown the holes 18 or 35 are formed in the inclined surface of the container but according to the provisional Specification they may be in the horizontal surface. In Fig. 1, the surface 10 of the container is arcuate and is in contact with the upper surface of an associated radiator 4. In Fig. 4 the container has a flat base 31 intended to rest upon a flat upper surface of an associated gas fire 36.
