1437126 Spirochroman derivative FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 17 Aug 1973 [17 Aug 1972] 39109/73 Heading C2C [Also in Division G2] 6,6<SP>1</SP>,7,7<SP>1</SP> - Tetrahydroxy - 4,4,4<SP>1</SP>,4<SP>1</SP> - tetramethyl - bis - 2,21- spirochroman is prepared by dissolving hydroxyhydroquinone triacetate in glacial acetic acid, concentrated hydrochloric acid and acetone with heating to 50‹ to 70‹ C., allowing the solution to stand for 24 hours at 20‹ to 30‹ C. and collecting the precipitate.
