Abstract

1434820 Aerials SOC ITALIANA VETRO SIV SpA 6 July 1973 [7 July 1972] 32220/73 Heading H4A A windshield has an aerial incorporated therein, said aerial having only two legs, one being horizontal and extending in the vicinity of the upper windshield margin, and the other being vertical and extending at right angles to the former. As described, an aerial is provided on the windscreen or other window 5 of a car which is of T-shape, with an upper horizontal leg 2 and a central vertical leg 3, which terminates in a circular connecting area 6 spaced inwardly from the lower edge of the windscreen. A plain or a laminated windscreen may be used. The aerial may be in the form of thin conductive lines which are deposited upon a surface of the windscreen by a screen printing process, and which are fixed by firing and may be reinforced by electro-plating thereupon. Alternatively, in the case of a laminated windscreen, the aerial may consist of wires which are embedded in the plastics interlayer.
