Abstract

1434285 Making valve casings TRIANGLE VALVE CO Ltd 5 Aug 1974 [26 June 1973] 30349/73 Heading B3A [Also in Division F2] A gate valve comprises a body formed by two parallel back walls 10, interconnected by two relatively narrow side walls 14, each wall 10 terminating at each end in a D-shaped plate 15. Seat rings 13 are welded into apertures 11, the bottom of the body is closed by a hemi-spherical base 10 and the top of the body is encompassed by a ring 19, flange 20, and a cover 21, 22, 23. A gate is housed in the body and actuated by a manual or power-actuated rod 24. In a modification the body is formed by five castings comprising sub assemblies, and welded together.
