Abstract
1433496 Electronic timepieces INTERSIL Inc 12 Dec 1973 [12 Sept 1973] 57627/73 Heading G3T [Also in Division H2] A stand 11 comprises an electrical connector 16 intended to mate with a corresponding connector on the back of an electronic stop-watch 13, Fig. 1, (not shown) to retain the watch on the stand, and at least one switch 21 whereby signals can be fed to the watch circuitry to set the watch when the latter is on the stand. The stop-watch can thus be used as a desk clock. As described there are two switches 21, 22 on opposite sides of the stand and wired to the connector 16 and a socket connector 19 which is intended to receive the output connector from a battery charger 51. The charger is thus connected across the internal battery 61 of the watch to drive the watch and re-charge the battery. The switches allow the application of pulses to the watch logic circuitry 62 to set the hours and minutes.
