Abstract

1433099 Dispensing articles VENDO CO 7 May 1974 [27 June 1973] 19956/74 Heading A4T An article dispensing apparatus comprises a shelf 12 and walls 16, 20 defining a compartment 22 for a helical feeder 32, a divider 24 within the feeder 32 for defining two rows of article receiving spaces 36, 38 between adjacent turns 34 of the helix, and means for driving the feeder 32 to discharge the articles in turn from a discharge end 14 of the compartment 22, an ejector member 60 being mounted at the discharge end of the feeder 32. The feeder 32 is rotated 180 degrees for each article discharged by means of a cam 54 acting through a gear train 44-50, a coin-operated mechanism (not shown) being arranged to rotate the cam 54 once for each article discharged. The articles fall alternately from the rows 36, 38. A drawer unit 10 may include two compartments 22.
