Abstract

1432911 AFC systems; Gunn oscillators STANDARD TELEPHONES & CABLES Ltd 18 April 1974 17000/74 Headings H3A and H3T A phase locked loop comprises a phase detector 2 to an input 1 of which an angle modulated wave may be applied, a video amplifier 4, a Gunn oscillator stage 5 and an injection locked Impatt diode amplifier device 6. The arrangement combines the superior noise performance of the Gunn oscillator with the output power capability of the Impatt diode and may be-used in microwave links.
