Abstract

1432622 Lubricants C HOLLINSHEAD G P WEINER and T WEINER 24 April 1973 [24 April 1972] 19235/73 Heading C5F A composition comprises (a) a hydrocarbon lubricant, (b) a wax which is candelilla, carnauba, beetle, sugar cane, myrtle, jojoba or natural or synthetic beeswax or a mixture thereof, and (c) an emulsifier, the amount of wax being 1 to 10 parts by volume per 120 parts by volume of hydrocarbon, and the amount of emulsifier being about 1 part by volume per 100 parts by volume of hydrocarbon, whereby the wax is maintained uniformly dispersed in the hydrocarbon. The emulsifier may be polyoxyethylene (10), oleyl ezher or polyoxyethylene (20) sorbitan monooleate.
