Abstract

1432072 Zoom lenses FUJI PHOTO OPTICAL CO Ltd 17 Jan 1974 [17 Aug 1973] 02143/74 Heading G2J A zoom lens comprises zooming lens components L1, L2, L3 and a relay lens components L4, L5, L6 one of which L5 in Fig. 1 is of zero power and is movable in association with a zooming component to compensate the fluctuation of aberration of the zoom lens caused by movement of the zooming component. The relay component L5 may be movable in association with the variator L2 and/or the compensator L3. L4 and/or L6 may be movable with L5. In Fig. 1, L5 is a zero-power component which corrects the curvature of field. It is also possible to reduce the fluctuations in chromatic and spherical aberration and the deviation of the focal plane. Numerical data are given for one example.
