1431764 Vehicle bodies CRAVENS HOMALLOY (SHEFFIELD) Ltd 4 April 1973 [11 April 1972] 16719/72 Heading B7B [Also in Divisions F2 and E1] A load carrying body, especially the load carrying body of a tipping trailer has a floor 10, side walls 12, and a curved connecting member formed of extruded sections 14 and 16 and a connecting rib 18 locked by a tongue 24 engaging a groove 26. A flange 30 on the section 16 abuts a shoulder 28 on the section 14, while an edge 32 of the section 14 seats upon a surface 34. Welds 46 and. 52 unite the floor panels 44, side panels 50, and sections 14 and 16. If desired, more than two sections of extruded material can be fitted together to form inner and outer horizontally extending members.
