Abstract
1431415 Polyester coated conductive elements ICI UNITED STATES INC 26 April 1974 [21 May 1973] 18390/74 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] An electrographic recording element comprises (a) an electrographic base support selected from an electrically conductive paper, a metal foil, an electrically conductive film or an electrically conductive cloth and (b) coated on the base support, a layer comprising a polyester derived from a dicarboxylic acid and an aromatic diol of the formula:- where a is 0 or 1, R is C1-5 aklylene, oxygen, sulphur, carbonyl A is halogen or hydrogen m and n are integers each of which is equal to at least 1 and the sum of which is equal to from 2 to less than 7 and X and Y are methyl, phenyl or hydrogen provided that in an X and Y pair on adjacent carbon atoms either X or Y is hydrogen. The Examples describe coating conductive paper with a composition comprising toluene and a polyester derived from polyoxypropylene (2.2) bisphenol and either phthalic anhydride or fumaric acid, optionally with glycerine or polyoxypropylene (c) sorbitol.
