1431001 Wiper blade support SWF SPEZIALFABRIK FUER AUTOZUBEHOER GUST AV RAU GmbH 12 Feb 1974 [6 March 1973] 6265/74 Heading A4F A wiper blade assembly for a windscreen or head-lamp comprises a main yoke 10, intermediate yokes 20 having claws at their ends and a pressure spring 30 located between the main yoke 10 and each intermediate yoke 20, each spring 30 being formed from flat strips bent over to be preferably substantially U- or V-shaped with one end thereof having a tab extension 31 selectively engageable in any one of a plurality of longitudinally spaced recesses 15 in the main yoke 10 so as to enable the biasing force between the yokes 10, 20 to be varied, the other end of each spring 30 being supported by the end of the yoke 20 that is overlapped by the main yoke 10. The claws of the intermediate yokes 20 engage spring bars 17 inserted in a wiper blade 18. Each yoke 20 may comprise a single arm. A wiper arm may be connected to the main yoke 10 by a spring 11. The assembly may also be utilized for rear and side vehicle windows.
