Abstract

1430691 Display devices I J ALLSOP J I ALLSOP M G ALLSOP and J D ALLSOP 15 Jan 1974 [30 April 1973] 01825/74 Heading A4T A device for displaying or storing shoes comprises support means 30 or 95 bearing spaced brackets 31, bars 49 adapted to be retained between the brackets 31 by locking means and means 69, 76 for releasably retaining shoes on the brackets. The means 76, for retaining the toe of the shoe, is engaged between a lip 29 and a tongue 73 of a member 59 which is held in fixed relationship to the respective bar 49, and the means 69, for retaining the heel, is similarly attached to further member 59 which is slidably supported on the bar 49, a rubber band 75 being engaged on projections 74 to urge the means 69 towards the means 76 to hold the shoe. For attachment between the brackets 31, each bar 49 has flanges 52 which are received between lugs 47, 48, 40, a tongue piece 38 of the lower bracket 31 engaging in an aperture of the lower flange 52 to hold the bar 49 in position, the tongue piece 38 being resiliently deflectable for release. An end-piece 94, e.g. bearing data concerning price, &c., is preferably releasably attached to the end of the bar 49, and similar shoe supporting means are preferably provided at each side of the bar 49.
