Abstract

1429529 Packages KOEPP AG 21 Dec 1973 [27 Dec 1972] 59295/73 Heading B8C Blocks 9 of soft elastic foam are held sufficiently compressed between opposed pressureplates 4 so that there is no tendency for the central part of the package to break out laterally. The plates and blocks are compressed in a press and the plates are held together by encircling strips or wires or by laterally arranged rods 7 or ropes, bands, or chains. The rods 7 can be secured to reinforcing bars 10 on the plates by eyes or loops and hook- or button-like coacting elements. The rods may be adjustable in length. The bars may be offset relative to one another to avoid interengagement of the bars during stacking.
