1429249 Stacking pipes STEINZEUGGmbH 4 June 1973 [5 June 1972] 26524/73 Heading B8C Layers of pipes, e.g. pipe elbows 12-19, each having a socket portion at one end, are separated by ladder-like grids of which side members (1, 2), Fig. 4 (not shown), embrace abutting sockets of pairs of pipes in one layer, the sockets of reversely arranged pairs in an upper layer lying between the sockets of the layer below. The lowermost layer rests on a pallet 20. The grids are formed with transverse rungs 3-7 and feet 8, 9 at least at one end of the side members 1, 2 and may have hooks 10<SP>1</SP>, 11<SP>1</SP> for engaging a lower grid where present. The socket ends of alternate layers of pipes need not abut, Fig. 6 (not shown), and the grid feet may extend upwardly.
