Abstract
1428925 Incinerator LOCANER 12 Feb 1974 [16 Feb 1973] 06389/74 Heading F4 An incinerator comprises an open-ended rotatable furnace 1 and an outside container 5 surrounded by a container 5 rotating with the furnace, closed at both ends and having a helical blade 8 to move ash discharged from the open end of the furnace within the container towards the charge end of the furnace, so that the ash is distributed along the container. On completion of the incineration of a charge, the direction of rotation is reversed to discharge ash from doors 9 in the container near the discharge end of the furnace. Either or both of the furnace and container may be frustoconical in form.
