Abstract
1428805 Automatic exchange systems TELEFONAKTIEBOLAGET L M ERICSSON 30 May 1973 [30 May 1972] 25872/73 Heading H4K A switching circuit comprises a plurality of shift registers, a common connection between interstage points one in each register and means to actuate independently shifting in the two portions of each register before and after the commoned interstage point. The Figure shows n shift registers having first and second stages B11 to B1n and B21 to B2n, the interstage points 0 being commoned as shown. A clock cycles a binary counter BR which via a decoder AVK1 sequentially enables stages B11 to B1n and groups of gates G11 to Gnm associated with corresponding registers OR1 to ORn fed from marker M and currently storing the addresses of outputs O1 to On to which the samples in B11 to B1n are destined. The addresses are decoded at AVK2 and each enable an appropriate stage B21 to B2n. The shift registers may be analogue transistor registers and the input signals may be in amplitude modulation form or P.C.M. form using serial or parallel transmission.
