Abstract

1428673 Orthodontic appliances AMALGAMATED DENTAL CO LTD 30 May 1973 [2 June 1972] 25887/72 Heading A5R An attachment for mounting on a tooth comprises a generally annular base 1 having a pair of opposed inwardly directed tongues 2 each provided with a groove 3 for the reception of an arch wire 4, and a pair of lugs 6 extending transversely of the tongues 2 for receiving an elastomeric band or stainless steel ligature 5 for holding the arch wire in the grooves. The base may be provided with a pair of channels for the accommodation of a spring to assist in uprighting the tooth the channels being at right angles to each other.
