Abstract

1428255 Electric heater SIEMENS-ELETROGERATE GmbH 9 May 1973 [9 May 1972] 22218/73 Heading H5H [Also in Division F4] A machine for making hot drinks comprises a hot plate 2, a continuous-flow heater, and a housing 1, the heater comprising a water-pipe 4 and an elongate heating element 5 for heating the pipe 4 and the plate 2, the heater being pressed against the hot plate by a plurality of clamping bars 7, one end of each of which is screwed to the hot plate 2 and the other end is received in a socket 6 in hot plate 2. Tabs punched out of the hot plate are downwardly bent to provide legs 9 supported on base 10. In an alternative embodiment the pipe 4 and the element 5 may lie side-by-side, in which case the clamping bars 7 are spot welded to the hot plate 2.
