1427876 o-Sec-butylphenol UNION RHEINISCHE BRAUNKOHLEN KRAFTSTOFF AG 25 June 1974 [3 July 1973] 28087/74 Heading C2C o-Sec-butyl phenol is prepared by treating phenol with n-butylenes in the presence of a metal phenolate catalyst, e.g. aluminium phenolate at a temperature of 140-240‹ C. under a gauge presence of 2-50 atm. The butylene mixture may also contain some nbutane.
