Abstract

1427805 Adhesive stamps PITNEY-BOWES Inc 27 April 1973 [28 April 1972] 20026/73 Heading B8F [Also in Divisions B4-B5] A postage meter tape comprises a printreceptive strip 13 releasably attached by pressure-sensitive adhesive to a wider carrier band 12 having sprocket-engaging drive holes 15 coincident with score or perforation lines 16 in the strip 13 which define individual stamps. The adhesive may comprise longitudinal stripes. In use, the motion of sprocket drum 31 is correlated with the printing mechanism at 20; after printing the carrier band 12 is separated at 21.
