1,025,737. Envelopes. N. GOLDSTERN. March 6, 1963 [March 6, 1962], No. 8952/63. Heading B6A. [Also in Divisions B2 and G4] Legible characters 7 are recorded on a strip 2 attached to, or forming part of, an envelope 1, using a different number of perforations for each character, and the perforations are covered by a layer of light-pervious material. An envelope is fed from a perforating machine, and the strip 2 is coated with a transparent or translucent lacquer by means of a roller. The coating may alternatively be applied from a roll of transparent foil coated with a layer of thermoactive glue.
