1427010 Furniture joints W G COX & SON Ltd 7 June 1973 [3 Aug 1972] 36362/72 Heading F2M A joint between a pair of panels, such as chipboard panels consists in providing one panel 10 with a series of dowels 18 and at least one recess 22 and the other panel with a series of blind holes 20 aligned to receive said dowels and a countersunk through-bore 24, 28 aligned with the recess 22 to accommodate a tightening screw 26. The recess 22 may be constituted by a bush of nylon or other plastics material and the head of the screw may be concealed by a cap 30.
