Abstract
1426990 Organotin compounds M & T INTERNATIONAL B V 9 Aug 1974 [30 Aug 1973] 35253/74 Heading C2J [Also in Division A5] Compounds of the general formula where X is Cl, Br, F, OH, CN, NH 2 , NHR<SP>1</SP>, NR<SP>1</SP> 2 , NO 3 , -OCOR<SP>1</SP>, OR<SP>1</SP>, SR<SP>1</SP>, carbamate, thiocarbamate or enolate, R<SP>1</SP> being C 1-12 alkyl or aryl, Y is O, S or SO 4 and n is 2, 3 or 4 are, prepared either by reacting the appropriate alkyl magnesium halide with stannic halide or by reacting a tris (3,3-dimethylalkyl) alkyl tin compound with stannic halide to obtain the triorganotin halide which can readily be converted to the other derivatives by known reactions. The compounds have miticidal and fungicidal properties.
