Abstract
1425589 Reservoirs J SCHMIT 21 Nov 1973 [29 Nov 1972] 54058/73 Heading E1T In a reservoir which may be sunk into the ground for water supply purposes and having connections for an in flow and an out flow of water, the walls 10 are constructed from prefabricated wall units in the form of arcuate guiding wall units and connecting wall units in the form of elbow members each having a straight section and an arcuate section curved through 90‹. The water is fed to the centre of the reservoir through an inlet pipe 1 and then flows through passages 11 of constant cross-section to an offtake socket 2 leading to a discharge passage 13 having an offtake socket 7, valves 3, 4, 5 and 8 being provided as shown. The wall panels are connected into a raft foundation and provided with cover shuttering panels 27, 28. For method of construction, the Specification should be referred to.
