Abstract

1424368 Earth-moving bowl type scrapers CLARK EQUIPMENT CO 31 May 1973 [1 June 1972] 26009/73 Heading E1F The vertical position of the scraper blade 25 of a bowl type earth scraper having an elevator 32 for moving scraped up earth away from the blade 25 into the bowl 10 can be adjusted by causing relative pivotal movement of the bowl relative to the running gear by which the bowl is supported on the ground, the movement taking place about a transverse axis 26 which is located between the front and rear ends of the bowl and is the axis of the pivotal connections between the bowl and carriers 37 of pairs of tandem located wheels 38, 39 located at each side of the bowl. The elevator 32 is divided into parallel loading paths to accommodate between the paths the drive of the elevator. The construction of the bowl permits of it being disassembled into component parts to minimise on shipping space required for transport between work sites. Specification 1367847 and U.S.A. Specification 3090139 are referred to.
