1424084 Bactericidal compositions E R HOLLOWAY Ltd 15 May 1974 [11 June 1973] 27617/73 Heading A5E A bactericidal preparation in solid form comprises a mixture of a compound that releases chlorine on contact with water and a compound that releases oxygen with effervescence on contact with water. Suitable chlorine releasing compounds are trichlorocyanuric acid and sodium dichloroisocyanurate, while suitable oxygen releasing compounds are hydrated and/or anhydrous perlerates. Additional materials may comprise buffers, bulking agents and binding agents e.g. trisodium orthophosphate, talc and mineral oil.
