Abstract
1423564 Cinematography K VOCKENHUBER and R HAUSER 8 March 1973 [8 March 1972] 11291/73 Heading G2E Film handling apparatus comprises at least one driven cam surface and rider members mounted at spaced locations on a carrier, which carrier is movable to select a particular rider and cam surface combination. The selected rider member transmits the movement it derives from the cam to drive on intermittent film feed device. In Fig. 1a one of the riders 24, 25, 26 selectively engages its respective cam 13, 14, 15 to lift claw 7. The various combinations of cam and rider control the film framing speed. In a modification, Fig. 3 (not shown), further riders are located between the riders 13, 14, 15 which can follow cams 13, 14 or 14, 15 simultaneously. The riders (in both Fig. 1a, 3) are spaced perpendicular to the plane of the Fig. and movable in this direction to permit selection of the riders. Other embodiments are disclosed wherein the selection of riders permits a change in film feed direction or a change between film formats.
