Abstract

1423164 Measuring A.C. voltage C A V Ltd 21 March 1973 [4 April 1972] 15345/72 Heading G1 [Also in Division G3] A rectifying circuit including a diode bridge 26, Fig. 1, is characterized in that it also includes an amplifier 31 having a diode 34, 35 feedback path which compensates for the forward-volt drop across the diodes in the bridge. This is so because since the input impedance of the amplifier is extremely high, the current that flows from the source of A.C., i.e. winding 23, via a resistor 29a, two diodes of the bridge 26 and a resistor 29b, must equal the current that flows in the feedback path via the two diodes 34, 35 and a resistor 36, and hence, assuming that resistor 36 equals the sum of resistors 29a and 29b, the output voltage of the amplifier must equal the output voltage of the winding 23. The circuit forms part of a fuel injection control system, see Division G3.
