1422783 Cryogenic tanks APPLIED RESEARCH & ENG Ltd and C S BLAKE 24 April 1973 [7 April 1972] 16276/72 Heading F4P A cryogenic container comprises an open inner tank 10 composed of material impervious to cryogenic liquid, and an outer tank 11 having an external heat insulating layer 19, the outer tank 11 enclosing the inner tank 10 from the atmosphere and being lined internally by material 18 which is impervious to cryogenic liquid. Instead of the two tanks having a common floor, the inner tank may be raised above the floor of the outer tank, and the inner tank may have a domed, open, top (Figs. 2 and 3, not shown).
