Abstract
1422155 Flame-retardant cyclic oxophosphazanes COURTAULDS Ltd 7 May 1973 [7 Feb 1972] 5526/73 Heading C2P [Also in Division C3] A flame-retardant composition comprises a polymer in admixture with a cyclic phosphazane compound of the general formula where n is an integer of at least 3 and R represents an alkyl or alkenyl radical containing from 3 to 6 carbon atoms, the various groups R in the phosphazane molecule being the same or different, preferably the same. The compounds of Formula I are obtained by heating the corresponding cyclic phosphazenes under nitrogen at 200‹ C. In an example the product of formula A is obtained from the phosphazene of Formula B
