Abstract

1421683 Bacteriological sampling sets SMITHKLINE CORP 14 May 1974 [24 May 1973] 21272/74 Heading C6F The culture medium of the microbiological testing device described and claimed in Specification 1246070 is provided with openings about 0.1-2.0 mm in diameter extending inwardly from the surface. The openings, which are formed by a punching operation with a needle punch, provide for enhanced propagation of e.g. group A #-haemolytic Streptococci in subsurface regions of the culture medium.
