1421615 Bactericidal application of propionic acid BADISCHE ANILIN-& SODAFABRIK AG 25 May 1973 [29 May 1972] 25109/73 Heading A5E Propionic acid finds application in combating plant-pathogenic bacteria by application of the acid to plant tissue. Preferably an aqueous solution of the acid is used. Specified plants are apples, pears, cherries, citrus fruits, Indian corn, rice, cucumbers, beans, cotton, sugar cane, potatoes, tomatoes and tobacco. Application preferably is by spraying the leaves of the plant.
