1421460 Curable polyisocyanurate compositions SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 22 Feb 1973 [24 Feb 1972] 8759/73 Heading C3R In a process for preparing curable polyisocyanurate compositions by mixing a polyisocyanate with an amine and an epoxide, there is included in the composition an olefinically unsaturated compound which does not contain an active hydrogen atom. Additionally, an olefinically unsaturated compound containing one or more hydroxyl groups may be incorporated in the composition. In examples mixtures are prepared containing diphenylmethane-4,4<SP>1</SP>- di-isocyanate, styrene, phenyl glycidyl ether, benzyldimethylamine, the reaction product of acrylic acid with the glycidyl ester of a mixture of alkane monocarboxylic acids, reaction products of epichlorohydrin and diphenylol propane, alpha-methylstyrene, methyl methacrylate, acrylonitrile and toluene di-isocyanate; the compositions are cured by heating.
