1420416 Fishing rods DAGGEEM Inc 16 March 1973 12854/73 Heading A1A A hollow telescopic fishing rod comprises a handle member 10, 11, a number of tubular sections 16, the outside one of which terminates at its bottom end in an extension piece 12 to which the handle member 10 11 is attached by means of an 'O' ring 13. The bore of the extension piece 12 allows only the inside section 19 to pass through when the rod is collapsed and this facilitates the threading of the line 20, 21 through the rod, with or without the assistance of a needle and gravity. The bore 14 of the bottom end of the extension piece 12 is bell-mouthed to reduce friction on the line 20, 21.
